Return & Refund Policy

At THE BE DANCE COMPANY STORE, operated by THE BE DANCE COMPANY, LLC, we stand behind the quality of every item we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a straightforward 30-day return and refund policy designed to make the process as easy as possible for you.

Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. Returns requested after 30 days of the delivery date will not be accepted. The clock starts from the date your tracking information shows your package as delivered.

Return Eligibility Conditions

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Unworn — The item has not been worn, even for a brief try-on that results in any signs of use
  • Unwashed — The item has not been laundered or dry-cleaned
  • Unaltered — The item has not been modified, tailored, or repaired
  • Original tags attached — All manufacturer and product tags must still be attached to the item
  • Original packaging — Return the item in the original poly bag or packaging if possible
  • No odors or stains — Items showing signs of perfume, deodorant, smoke, pet hair, or other contamination will not be accepted

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Items without original tags or in unsaleable condition
  • Undergarments and intimate apparel for hygiene reasons

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email us at [email protected] with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  2. Wait for our response — Our team will respond within 1–2 business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.
  3. Pack your item securely with all original tags attached. Include your order number inside the package.
  4. Ship the item to the return address we provide. For defective or incorrect items, we will email you a prepaid return shipping label. For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  5. Await your refund — Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 2–3 business days of receipt), we will process your refund.

Refund Processing Time

Once your return has been received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

  • PayPal refunds: Typically appear in your PayPal account within 3–5 business days after we process the refund
  • Credit/debit card refunds: May take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your bank statement after we process the refund, depending on your financial institution

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued. If you do not see your refund after 10 business days, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate immediately.

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items for a different size or color, subject to availability. To request an exchange:

  1. Email [email protected] with your order number and the exchange you'd like (item, size, color)
  2. We'll check availability and confirm the exchange via email
  3. Send back the original item following our return process
  4. Your replacement will ship once we receive the original item (typically within 5–7 business days)

If the requested exchange item is unavailable, we will offer a full refund instead.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, we sincerely apologize. Please email us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damage or defect
  • Photos clearly showing the issue

For verified defective or damaged items, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and offer either a full replacement or a full refund — your choice. We will not ask you to pay any additional fees for items damaged due to our error or a carrier issue.

Wrong Item Received

In the rare event that you receive the wrong item, please email us at [email protected] with your order number and photos of the item received. We will send you a prepaid return label and ship the correct item at no additional cost as soon as possible.

Return Shipping Costs

Customer-initiated returns (size/fit, change of mind): The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your receipt, as we cannot be responsible for lost return shipments.

Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: THE BE DANCE COMPANY, LLC will provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.
